Deciding to get help is not easy. It takes a great deal of courage to reach out. Taking that step is the beginning of healing and taking charge of your life. Change CAN happen and I would be honored to assist you through this journey.

If you choose to work with me, let me share what to expect:

While some therapies can take years to reach the desired results, my approach is focused on helping you achieve positive change and feel better quickly. We focus on your specific goals, draw upon your strengths, and find healthy ways to make sustainable, positive changes in your life right away.

We get to the core of the problem and work from there. You’ll notice that making changes and healing wounds at this level will create positive change that flows into several other areas of your life.

What does it look like?

The first thing we do is have our consultation call, where we make sure we are a good fit for doing this work together. I will ask about what brought you to therapy at this time, the challenges you’re facing, and what your goals are for therapy. We can then schedule our first session and I will provide you with the intake forms to help me get to know you better even before our first session.

In our first session, we can dive right in and begin our work on helping you through what brought you here. We will explore what may be contributing to the challenges you’re facing and find ways of creating positive change right away.

As we do this work, you’ll discover new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding to these challenges. You can approach life in a new way. You gain a sense of empowerment that improves your ability to handle any challenge you encounter.

It takes work- sometimes difficult work- but it is very important work. By doing this, you are investing in your future and the futures of those you care about.

What I do to help you create change:

I use different therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you heal and create positive change. These approaches are evidence-based, scientifically effective ways of creating change quickly and sustainably- which is my priority: helping you create lasting change as soon as possible!

How I got started in therapy:

My journey may be like yours in many ways. I found myself struggling with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem and just wasn’t managing my life in healthy, sustainable ways. I felt stuck and decided to reach out for help from a therapist.

And how glad I am that I did!

Turns out, taking that step radically changed not just how I was approaching my life, but also encouraged me into this career path so I could help others like me who felt down and stuck find relief and healing and get on track to a better life!

Since this experience, I have dedicated my life’s work to helping my clients get amazing results, just like I received.

My background experience:

-I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2012 from Nova Southeastern University

-I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences in 2009 from the University of Florida.

What do I do when I’m not doing therapy?

-I’ll be spending time with my partner and two kiddos

-I’ll be reading or doing artsy-crafty things

-I’ll be dancing or doing yoga

-I’ll be spending time outdoors (when it’s not too hot!)

-I’ll be spending time with family and friends
