Sometimes we get stuck in destructive patterns and can’t seem to break free.

You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, substance abuse, relationship distress, or any number of issues.

And these issues just don’t seem to let up.

Maybe you’ve tried “talk therapy” before, but still find yourself trapped by the same thoughts, feelings, behaviors.

That’s because you ARE stuck- for now. Your nervous system is dysregulated, your brain and body have not fully processed core issues causing these problems, and until you can move through it effectively, you are likely to find yourself in this same state you yearn break free from.

This is where EMDR can help!

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is used to treat a variety of mental health issues, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and phobias. EMDR therapy combines several different techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, and relaxation techniques. As an evidence-based therapy with a growing body of research, EMDR has remarkable benefits.

EMDR is a different, highly effective type of therapy that allows you to fully and efficiently process and modify the feelings, memories, thoughts, beliefs that are causing disfunction in your life.

Through bi-lateral stimulation (using a visual, auditory, or tactile stimulus to both sides of the body in a rhythmic pattern), you are able to access and process issues at their core more rapidly and efficiently than other forms of therapy typically allow.

Your therapist guides and supports you as you work through these issues physiologically and psychologically. It engages and heals the system that is keeping you stuck.

EMDR therapy is an effective treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions.

It has numerous benefits, including reducing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression, improving self-esteem and relationships, helping with addiction recovery, pain management, and stress management. If you are struggling with any of these issues, EMDR therapy may be a great treatment option for you!

When you engage in EMDR therapy, you become less reactive to memories, thoughts, and feelings that have been troubling you. You remember without reliving. You heal wounds safely and become free to move forward with your life.

If you are ready to feel more in charge of how you navigate life, then I am ready to help you make that happen.

Reaching out and asking for help isn’t always easy. But taking that first step can be the beginning of a better life.

I look forward to helping you through it.
