About

Hi! I am Lisa Bettcher, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, honored to be working directly with clients as a therapist since 2011. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from The University of Florida and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I have had the opportunity to work with many different individuals, couples, and families who have struggled through a wide array of challenges during my years as a therapist. For over seven years, I worked in treatment centers for individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, many who felt they were starting a whole new life from the ground up. I found my work with these individuals to be extremely rewarding as I could help them find their own way out of the chaos and into the life they want to live. Much of my experience has also been with couples and families in helping them find more effective ways of communicating with one another, navigate through life transitions, and find healthy ways of supporting one another in life. I enjoy helping those who struggle in their relationships find what works for them, explore and implement changes they desire in their relationships, find their way back to themselves and to one another, and grow as individuals as well as grow in their relationships. Substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and relational issues, as well as self-esteem building and navigating life transitions are my main areas of expertise, so if you have been struggling with any of these issues and are looking for a path out of the pain and into a place of joy, peace, and fulfillment, I would love to chat with you and see how I can help you in obtaining the life you want for yourself.
